STRAFhotel&bar x Manifattura Milano
Manifattura Milano is one of the main activities of CENTRINNO, a project financed by Horizon 2020 programme and dedicated to urban and circular manufacturing starting from waste and deadstock of companies close to the city and to social inclusivity.
The collaboration with STRAFhotel&bar was born thanks to these shared values and include the realization of about 75 shoppers made of recovered fabric, distributed at the Consortium meeting of the Centrinno project held in Barcelona in May 2022.
The Hotel Property decided to contribute to Manifattura Milano's initiative by providing top-quality sheets, currently unused but with a considerable potential, in order to give them a second life. The project involved two expert designers, Sara Alvarez and Tobia Cecchin, but also Tessitura Grisotto, which provided multicolored cupro rolls with which the labels were created. The operation was supported by the expertise and machinery of Spazio3R.
The final touch to the product was made by Muralestremo, an artisanal screen-printing company, responsible for creating high-quality prints on the shoppers. The final outcome is surprising: this synergy of such various realities has put in place a project whose values lie at the heart of sustainability.
